I have no issue with it as long as it has a time limit. I think all alimony, if warranted, should be for a certain period of time and then you're on your own.
And, just a random thought, if he really was a true manager and he's now split from her, I wouldn't think it would be easy at first to find people to hire him since most would want to stay in her good graces and not his. It's not like he has a typical job away from her/their industry.

If Mary is currently on tour, who is managing her now?
Mary not only filed for divorce but fired Kendu as her manager. To me that sounds like something else was going down other than those 2 famous BS divorce words.....
"irreconcilable differences"

Mary's tax lien has been cleared up. It is not a manager's job to manage money only her career.
Managing her money, that job normally goes to a team of CPAs accounts & tax attys.
The best advice Bill Cosby gave Oprah....SIGN YOUR OWN CHECKS.
Obviously, Mary was not doing that.

Thanks @Mz iMac, I hadn't heard it had been cleared up. I think I was watching Wendy Williams (lol) a couple of months ago when she discussed that lien. I realize that managers don't handle that end of things but I do know many handle the hiring of CPAs and he was her husband so he was probably a lot more involved in her finances than most would be. I don't know if he was just her manager because he was her husband and if he had previous experience with that kind of work or not. It is just beyond my comprehension how many actors, singers and people in the entertainment and sports field owe so much to the government.

That old saying be a man - act like a man, is that really relevant these days? Are women really the weaker sex. Alimony and child support have always been separate when awarded to a woman and most men resented it, easy to see why.

Back in the 80's while living in Los Angeles I had the greatest OBGYN, she was a hoot. Anyway, she was divorced and had to pay the ex spousal support because when married he helped support her while she was going to Med School. So it does work two ways. However, in Mary Blieg's case as far as the Prenup goes it can be thrown out because he did not have his attorney to represent him. I know this because it happened to me, I did not have an attorney to represent me, it was his attorney who drew up the papers and I got suckered in. It all worked out in the end though because it became null and void when we got divorced. I sure hope Mary comes out if this okay but when dealing with celebrities and loads of money it becomes a nightmare.

Well, if she fired him as her manager and he is no one else's manager, then I supposedhe would be without income. He filed for temporary support, not lifetime support. A woman would get that if her husband left her with no means of support at the time. Not sure how I feel about it personally, but I can kind of see his reasoning. My advice would be if you're actually a manager, you need a cadre of clients for your livelihood. He could argue that his management got her the gigs and albums to make as much as she has made. At any rate, he needs to have a little talk with Kris Jenner about being a manager. She seems to always land on her feet.
