He's not a doctor.
Unfortunately, some counties allow practically anyone to be elected coroner. That person can have literally no medical experience...so how can you fault him/her for making that type of mistake?
This is a good example why the old-fashioned office of coroner should be done away with. There should be medical examiners who are pathologists...not just some guy whose name was on the ballot.

He was declared dead.
No activity of any kind.
Dead.
Dead.
Dead.
Pacemaker had stopped working.
At the mortuary, pacemaker started up again.
That got the heart beating again.
Which got him to moving again.
It's all very simple really.
What I meant is that if the pacemaker is making his heart pump blood but otherwise the man is dead then he would not be moving. Moving his body involves his brain which would no longer be operational if he were actually dead.
I don't see it as simple at all. I see it as criminal.
The pacemaker pumped the heart, which pumped blood to the brain.
That started brain activity, because the brain now had oxygen.
Duh!

Heard that this gentleman finally passed away last night. Almost 2weeks, he cheated death...I'm sure his family considered it a miracle,

This creeps me out. I wonder if the pacemaker was faulty or near its expiration date. The guy must have been in some deep freeze sort of state in order to preserve some functioning...my stepmonster jokes that after she dies, i.e., stroke, (she has a pacemaker) her heart will still be beating.....lordy, that freaks me out too....

Blessings to him and his family. He was given a little more time and I hope they used it wisely. May he Rest In Peace now.

Just because there was brain activity, doesn't mean the gentleman had any recovery or quality of life. It just prolonged the inevitable. I am assuming he didn't get up and start dancing around the room?
Sometimes I think man-made devices overpower more divine wishes. My aunt passed away yesterday, she had been suffering and withering away for a long time. Although it is heartbreaking that she is gone, there is peace in knowing she is no longer in a body that didn't work for her, she is in a better place. It would have been very sad to think she passed peacefully, then suddenly was alive only to suffer for a longer duration.
