Having problem with typing and cursor....

My computer is acting up. My cursor keeps going back to previously typed words while I am typing. The cursor will just go anywhere I have previously typed and start typing what I am currently typing and I have to keep correcting it and move the cursor back to what I am typing. It has never happened before and has only started happening today and has gotten worse the longer I have been on. I have had to correct this paragraph alone about 10 times. Anyone have any ideas. I have rebooted. TIA!
