Oh, this made me laugh out loud because I do the same. I love Christmas music. I love all genres and all kinds of performers to the more classic like Nat King Cole or Bing Crosby to the Ramones (Merry Christmas I don't want to fight tonight) to Wham. I love it all. Love seat dancing!! My daughter and I could enter a competition for that, even my 16 month old grandson is getting in on the seat dancing action!

Yes @Pandalady!  They actually played Do Your Hear What I Hear on the radio tonight!!  You don't hear that version very often.

My very dear friend's birthday is also the 23rd.  She always told me that when she was younger, her birthday was often "consolidated" with Christmas and that it was a major bummer.  So I always make sure we celebrate it right!

Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas to you too!!

Oh, that is so sweet of you! I have a friend born on Christmas Eve and she says the same thing!

@AliJoi5,  You are such a blessing to your friend!  Luckily, my parents, and now, my husband make my birthday a special occasion seperate from Christmas.  May God bless you and your family during this holiday season!

Re: Have your local radio stations...

They started playing Christmas music at one of our FM stations on Halloween.  Ridiculously early.

I don't listen.    I don't celebrate Christmas.  I like some seasonal songs, but all day 24/7 is too much.

Not local radio, but Sirius (we have in our car) has had Christmas music for a week or more now.

Re: Have your local radio stations...

Yes!  A local station here switched over in November.  DH made a point of calling to let me know, as he heard it on his way to work.  He knows I enjoy it.

I tune in to Pandora Christmas radio, where I can select the music I like.  I'm not quite ready to commit, but when I do, it will be on all the time.  I like mostly the jazz or classical orchestrations, but I get a kick out of the old Percy Faith-style stuff, too.  "Sleigh Ride" is probably my favorite, though it's hard to pick.

Re: Have your local radio stations...

I have to say, I don't like hearing Christmas songs 24/7, and the pop station I listen to most haven't moved their programming there yet. I could listen to two songs looped all day, though, Mary Did You Know by the Gaither Vocal Band and O Holy Night by David Phelps. It never fails, I always get goosies when I hear the line  "when the soul felt its worth."
