I'm not looking forward to darkness at 5:00.  I enjoy the long days of summer with green yards and flowers.

I'm able to track the sunrise times almost daily.  We go up and down 1 minute a day, as the 2 seasons change of times.  It all goes so fast anymore, it almost makes your head spin.  And yet, I don't feel the earth turn on the axis.  LOL

I'm in the midwest. The front of my house faces east and I've been watching the angle of the sun change. We've lost a lot of light too.

On the funny side... my dog thinks it's bedtime when it gets dark so it takes a long time for him to settle into staying up when it's gets dark so early. He sleeps later in the morning since the sun rises later too.

Yes, even in Florida, we have lost daylight at night and it was dark this AM when I got up. Fall is coming. I love the cooler weather. We have had such a hot summer. I live in north Florida and we do get cool here.

Yes.  I start getting seasonal depression as the summer season winds down and then fall and winter comes.  Fall is a beautiful season but the days are shorter and then fall doesn't last long and then -- wham!  Here's winter!  Cold, wind, snow, ice, and long, dark days.  The winter months seem to go on and on!  Ugh!  Just thinking about it makes me feel cold and shudder!!!

Re: Have you noticed?

The days begin getting shorter about a week after the summer equinox hence the reason why I dislike the first day of summer.

It was such a hot miserable summer here in Arizona I am looking forward to cooler, darker days. I love when the sun comes up later and it get dark earlier.

Change of seasons doesn't bother me at all.  I love the coziness of Fall and Winter.  I need 4 seasons, I get bored with the same 'ole weather all the time.  That's why I live in New England!  And yes the days are getting shorter!
