I also have green eyes and thought they were common until I read the article about the percentages also.  Both my parents had blue eyes and I always wished mine were blue.  No such luck.

I have green eyes and always thought they were pretty common too.  When I learned that a very small percentage of the population has green  eyes it got me wondering what some people consider green, because SO many people claim they have green eyes.  I think many people who think they have green eyes really don't.  The green they claim they see isn't the green that meets the qualification for the 2%.
