Re: Have you ever started the day with an awful feeling...

Yes....I have had days like that and I do believe in the power of prayer.  As another post mentioned....the world is in turmoil and it has an affect on all of us one way or another.
Years ago I was going thru multiple challenges and it started to get the best of me,  I happened to read an article about "signs" that come and go in our lives and how we choose to interpret them.  Long story short...my dad always collected dimes.  Shortly after he passed away, I started finding dimes in unusual places....on the kitchen counter...on the seat in my car...in the middle of the floor...on a table at a restaurant...in pockets.  The article I read explained that finding multiple coins was often times an indication that "change was coming".
Soon after finding at least 10 dimes....things started changing for the better.   For me it has always been a positive sign and it lifts my spirits.  Just this week, I started finding multiple dimes again....and it has been years since the last time it happened.  I know it is probably a silly thought for most people, but it is just something I chose to acknowledge to  keep my thoughts positive.

@PuppyLoverBob666   Thanks for this topic, & yr sharing!!

*HECK YEAH!*.. I've had those days...and I've had to promise myself...

. . . .    I'D STAY OUT OF MY OWN WAY!

. . . . . . . . "LOW PROFILE," as they say

I also indulge myself, and do as @ThinkingOutLoud lovingly suggested:

I need all the help I can get, in those days, (& many other days)...  including calling on the celestial, & Almightly!

that nothing can happen to me,

that You & I cant handle!"

Pls consider, letting us know how it goes/went .. ,@PuppyLoverBob666

I feel that after the past 3 years, many of us are experiencing an anxiety / watchfulness overload.

Re: Have you ever started the day with an awful feeling...

If I started the day with an awful feeling of dread, I would go back to bed and reset the alarm clock for a little later.

I have an old clock radio, so I always wake up to music, much of it very happy and energetic. It is a nice way to start the day.

My cats also jump all over me and lick my face and fingers when the music starts.

I try to be positive about what I can control, especially including feelings.  Fear of the unknown is just too vague to really let it dominate my thoughts.

This -- best answer.  Give it to him

Sometimes He refuses to take it and wants me to be a grown-up and figure things out for myself. So...that's what I usually do--gudgingly. Or I stick my head in the sand and try to avoid everyone and everything.

Drythe, I think you hit the nail on the head. I often feel overwhelmed and overloaded. If it weren't for family, friends, and streaming services, I don't thing I could cope.

Plus, I live near Seattle and it has rained interminably this spring--we're having the coolest, rainiest spring on record, so the rain and the gray clouds overhead don't help either. Oh well, I'll get over it--I always do.

Re: Have you ever started the day with an awful feeling...

I woke up with a dreaded feeling the day Mom died 4.5 years ago.  Dad is now 90 and I sometimes think about losing him and get that dreadful feeling.
