Have you ever lied . . . to yourself?

Some may not realize it . . . but I am beginning to realize it. There are issues in my life now and in the past that I haven't admitted to myself, that made a huge difference in the "now," the present state of my life. Maybe it's an "aging" thing. But I look back a lot and I can pinpoint actual events in my life that I did not realize at the time, nor for years afterward . . . were actually huge turning points, some good, a lot not so much, from decisions I made. My children and others in my family (and me) suffered because of these decisions, so it's no small thing.

(Some of you may be too young to ponder this.)
