The time changes mattered to me when I was working and had to wake up and drive to work in darkness half the year. As the years went by it got harder and harder to fully wake up and function without any sky light to help.
Now that I'm retired I wake up when my body tells me to. But I also don't like to drive in the dark, and am not happy about a basically 5 pm "curfew." I'll survive.

Yes @Annabellethecat66, this day is very long. It's 6:24 right now and feels like it's about 10:00!
Today is my 60th birthday and I've got an extra hour to celebrate! Woo hoo!

It is horrible! I can't wait until we get back to the days where it isn't dark in the middle of the afternoon!

We don't change the clocks where I live. It's nice to not have to bother with that. But I do always try to remember the time differences have changed in other parts of the country.

Oh goodness @Irshgrl31201 I wish they would abolish this practice as it is my understanding that for the most part it is no longer necessary. Life and lifestyles have changed and I wish they would change this too . . .
I agree @momtochloe and that is also my understanding.

Yes, I noticed it when I got up this morning and the sun was coming up. I like standard time. I'm a early-to-rise-early-to-bed kind of person. I don't like it when it's still light outside at 9pm in the summer...makes it hard to get to sleep. I prefer it they way it is now.![]()

I love when we return to standard time. Getting dark earlier gives me a cozy feeeling. I enjoy taking a hot shower and putting on a flannel nightie with my big heavy robe. As a child I loved the short(er) daylight particularly in December. It meant the Christmas tree lights would be plugged in. It was the most wonderful time of the year.

Yes, I agree with you! I love putting out all of my flameless candles, string lights, and then getting out my Christmas stuff that's lighted, as well as the tree. It does make for a cozy feeling! ![]()

I know it's only one hour but it seems like much more to me. The days seem so short. It gets dark before I know it. I like to walk at dawn and dusk - and also do nature photography. It definitely puts a squeeze on the day.
