We gave the cashier $20 and said let it pay for as many as it will.

BGB ... be proud and happy. You did good.

Express line? Maybe. Otherwise, not. How much did you pay?

That is not the point. 100. or 1.00. Pay It Forward and Be Nice.

Maybe not for U. But, yes, I would consider the cost. I'm not made of $$$.

Neither am I, but I try to help where and when I can. I don't ask how much. You can work with what you have whether it's a dollar or a hug and a help to their car. It's not always about money ... it's about caring and how you can do it.

Caring and not bragging about it on forum. "Oh, aren't U so nice". That's not the point.

Oh come on skylands......no one is bragging. I also like what Preds posted here.

Have you done anything lately to make someone feel good......?????

No, but someone paid for my Starbucks drink once.

I got coffee for the person behind me at the Starbucks drive thru yesterday.

I've done it a lot with tolls on the Thruway too.

It was a Friday...payday...a great day to spread some happiness!

Well, aren't you in a good mood today! She was not bragging in my eyes. She was happy to do what she did and was expressing that. Maybe to point out that more of us could do a little something.

Re: Have You Ever...Paid For The Order Behind You In Line

Years ago, I was in line behind an senior citizen in a grocery store who didn't have enough money for the few groceries on the conveyor belt. The cashier took the money the woman offered and I could see there wasn't enough. The senior citizen asked, is that enough and the cashier looked up and I leaned in and shook my head yes. The cashier smiled, told the woman yes and I made up the difference without the lady knowing.

BGB......don't let this upset you. You did nothing wrong......

Some folks need to be inspired.....they don't know how fortunate they are when they can afford to buy something......much less help someone out when they may not have enough.....
