That is so creepy yet funny at the same time.

A man in Texas handed over $1000 on Monday in the drive-through at a Chick-fil-A - about 80 meals were covered. One woman who was having a really bad day started crying when told her meal was paid for.

Thanks for sharing that...wow~I have no words.

bluegrassbaby: You're welcome. He said that Monday's can be depressing days for many people so that is why he chose it.

I tried once, and the lady said "Do you think I don't have money? I can pay for my own groceries. I don't need your help. Do you think the county takes care of me?" Yikes, I will never do that again.

Re: Have You Ever...Paid For The Order Behind You In Line

My friend is a veterinarian and she had a client start a little pay-it-forward idea too, which really has helped so many. The client knew many people have hard times and its hard to pay for special tests and treatments at times. She decided to pay her bill and add on $50 for a kind of special pool to help clients who had difficulties with fees. The client mentioned it to her friend, who thought it was a great idea and then her friend paid her bill and added the amount she felt comfortable with. It got to be a fun thing and many people enjoyed doing it and it really took off and it really has helped some people who needed it. I can testify that not one of the recipients were insulted when this special pot was offered to them. This has been going on for about two years now and most of her clients throw in an extra $10 or so. It takes very little for so many but it really is a sweet gesture and everyone wins.

Express line? Maybe. Otherwise, not. How much did you pay?

That is not the point. 100. or 1.00. Pay It Forward and Be Nice.

Actually, the point is not to brag on a forum about your good deed.

Yes, I would consider the cost beforehand.

So glad you said exactly what I was thinking.
