Re: Has it been announced

[ Edited ]

I corrected my post. I split the paragraph up

by mistake !

Margaret Thatcher, former British prime minister known as 'The Iron Lady,' dies at 87 | The Star

I would like to see Harry give William a big old slap on the back.  That would break the ice.

Seriously, I hope Harry can just be Harry.  And then come back to being a new American.

Here's a good article about who's attending and the format.  The senior royals are not wearing uniforms to minimize the hooplah about Prince Harry losing his military titiles and Prince Andrew still being permitted to do so.

Maybe it's a blessing that it's a small informal service.  I hope it gives the immediate family more time together.

One would think that there could easily be a civil discussion about the Prince's funeral.  I've enjoyed reading about the traditions and protocols,  old and new for a royal funeral.

However,  another thread on the topic was shutdown temporarily so unnecessary posts could be severed from the otherwise low key conversation.

I'll be looking for a TV channel that is not showing the funeral.  Probably MeTV and QVC?   Or, I could read a book.

Plenty of options available to not watch.

Several cable channels aren't showing the funeral. I have no interest in watching a funeral, so if other shows aren't interesting, I'll read my Kindle or find something else to do.

I heard David Muir from ABC Evening News say that they will be covering it live on Saturday.

It looks so much like an armored vehicle.

I wonder why he wouldn't have chosen a horse drawn carriage.
