Has anyone experienced a problem with their K2 keypad?

I have the Kindle 2 (I think) and in addition to reading I like to play word games on it. (I use my keypad quite a lot.) However, recently the keys don't seem to respond when pressed; I have to press them several times to type a letter. The functions used for reading -- next page, previous page, menu, home, etc.--all work, but the keyboard is giving me fits. Anyone have this problem? Suggestions?
