Re: Has anyone else heard this about Clint Eastwood?

That's cool, Raven. Girls need dads, too. I felt that my husband gave my daughter lots of quality time when he could. She even surprised us by deciding to follow in his footsteps, and chose the same career as him.

So...back to the thread topic...I do hope that Clint's last two children, both girls, will be okay. I know they have both had some rough moments, and wonder if they acted as they did...in order to get attention that they were lacking.

Actually, men often remain fertile and can father children into very old age. I don't see anything "irresponsible" about this. The mother seems young and healthy, and Mr Eastwood is wealthy enough to provide generously for the child's upbringing, education, and inheritance if he dies while the child is young.

Re: Has anyone else heard this about Clint Eastwood?

I was watching an old 30s movie and the line was how old are you, the answer was I am on the sunny side of 50 as opposed to the shady side of 50. I use that saying now.

If I am 60 I would be on the sunny side of 60 and over 60 I would be on the shady side of 60. I had never heard that old saying before, I thought it was true.

I guess Clint would be on the shady side...

IF it's true, it's his business and no one else's. He doesn't owe anyone an explanation, or reason. If they like it or not, it's no one's business and he would do well to tell those folks to mind their own business and get their own houses and families in order.

Re: Has anyone else heard this about Clint Eastwood?

Um...Goodstuff, we don't know that there is a mother or a father yet. I started this thread, thinking that posters here usually are way ahead of me in knowing the latest news. I honestly thought that someone was going to say something about already having heard this 1 week + ago. {#emotions_dlg.crying}

I still maintain that the person who told me about this is really stable, and wouldn't say it if she didn't know it to be true. But...she might have been wrong.

We are all aware of that. We've already been scolded by a previous poster about discussing this. This is no different than any other thread on this board that discusses the lives of well-known people. And I can usually count on at least 6 of them being on the first page of Viewpoints. If the person being discussed isn't of interest to me, I just pass on posting on it.

I posted previously on this thread.

I see that, Love Roses. I think it's good to see a thread that maybe starts out being about a celeb, but results in lots of secondary discussions about related issues, such as having children at an older age.

I think it's a refreshing change from threads about our favorite colors or ice cream flavors.

Just responding to those who commented critically that fathering a child so late in life might be "selfish" or irresponsible in some way. Of course we don't know for sure, and I sincerely doubt Clint Eastwood gives a flip about the idle chat of a bunch of ladies on a bulletin board. Come to think of it I don't give a flip either.
