Ford F-150 'Texas Edition' trucks

After watching a million truck commercials during sporting events, I've always wondered...

Is 'Texas Edition' a regional thing or are they sold everywhere? I know you could order it, but do they have them on the showroom floor where you live? And if you live in, say New Jersey, do you get a Texas Edition? Or is there a special Northeast Edition?

I live in the south east and have never heard of that. I did a quick google search and I didn't find too much information, but I'm not very car/truck savvy. Is a Texas edition truck just fancier with more bells and whistles?

Since they've discontinued the Ford Rangers we've been looking at the F-150s. Will have to google this too.

I believe they are for Texas only. If you live out of state, you could probably go to Texas and order one. I also think they make them for some other state too. I've seen one or two on our trips to Texas and they are nice.

I believe they're regional to TX but I did see one up here on a Ford dealer's used truck lot.

It's a special package Ford puts together. Much like the Harley-Davidson package.

They use to have a King Ranch version. Don't know IF they still do. Named for a HUGE ranch down in South Texas and a bit fancier back then than their XL & XLT models. Maybe the Texas one replaced King Ranch.
