Has anyone else caught the first two episodes of "Salem"?

It's a series on WGN (channel 239 on DISH) that takes place in...you guessed it...Salem, Mass in the 1600. Yes, there are witches, demons, blood & gore and an actual story line that has me wondering how things are going to end up. If you're a fan of "Sleepy Hollow", you may want to give this one a try.

thanks!

i have been wanting to see this series, but have not had a chance yet. i will check to see if it is on on demand. some of my other shows are winding down so i can probably fit it in. do you know if it is a shorter series?

Saw the first episode and DVR'd the second to watch later. The first was entertaining, but I'm not sure how long I'll stick with it or how long it'll hold my interest.

oh...interesting! I haven't heard of WGN, so I will have to look that up and see if verizon offers it.

This is pretty much how I felt about it, too. I have the second one recorded but haven't gotten to it yet.

The first episode was certainly interesting!

I don't think it's anything like Sleepy Hollow. That show is kind of campy and I wouldn't be embarrassed watching it with family members. Salem is dark, gratuitious s-e-x (the episode with Cotton and the hooker was so unnecessary) and the violence is pretty gruesome. I think after that I'll take a pass.

Oh and also the fact that in the 1600's the Puritan were British immigrants yet only Mary Sibley has the British accent? At least they should have made it more authentic.
