DH just bought me a new Samsung french door refrigerator.

I've always wanted a really big refrigerator. I love it... and soooo roomy at 29 cu ft. LED lighting, etc. It was delivered Nov. 23 and I discovered the water filter leak Nov. 28.

The water filter is right in the center of the fridge and you see it when you open both doors. It is just above the pull out pantry drawer. That's where the water is dripping into. It is dripping about 10 cups of water in a 24 hour period. I have a drip pan set it there I empty morning and night and measure it. It's the kind of filter you twist out and twist it back in.

The service man was here last Friday, Dec. 3 and ordered a part. He called it "housing" and someone else I talked toon the phone called it "water filter case". I didn't have a good feeling about this service man from the second he walked in .... but, anyway. I was hoping it was something simple like a faulty water filter????

I talked to them today and the part hasn't even shipped yet and they moved my appointment up to Dec. 14. I'm a patient woman .... but ... grrrrrrr.

Has anyone else has had this problem?

Is it going to take forever to get parts, when needed, for a Samsung?

DH is telling me to call Lowes, to come get it. I really do love it in every other way... but not if it turns out to be a "lemon". Not sure how long I would have before I can tell them to come and get it and find something else. I'm guessing 30 days??

Any thoughts or experience? TIA ... fran.
