@JudyL  Oh yeah, JudyL ! We'll be an awesome trio at that party! I'll find some low rise jeans and a tube top to dress like the Gen Z zoomer kids and I'll make my popcorn party mix for the party   Let's go, ladies!

My daughter finally sent a picture of the cake she made for Sawyer's 16th birthday. I love it! I got to see it in person and it's even more beautiful. The only thing that's not edible and she didn't make is the baby's breath around the top and the candles.  I wish that child (mine) would take higher resolution photos!

@monicakm   Your daughter did such a great job making and decorating the birthday cake!  I love the color, design and the flowers .  Your granddaughter looks so beautiful and so happy next to her birthday cake and she has such pretty strawberry blonde hair!   Happy 16th Birthday!!

Thank you so much. A few days ago she was more red. One of her birthday presents was to put blonde highlights in it. Our daughter made her first Bakery Style decorated cake when our grandson was one. It was a Candyland board game theme and she's been cranking out these beautiful creations ever since. Who knew she had that artistic Flair. We didn't!  For several years she made cakes for others and made quite a bit of money doing it but she said now the cost of ingredients is so high that it's not profitable and no one would pay the price anyway. She does one every so often.

@monicakm  You're welcome, Monicakm ! Your daughter is such a talented baker and cake decorator- she could open her own bakery if she wanted to! I went to cooking school before art college and I love to bake/decorate all of my own birthday cakes and  the birthday cakes for my siblings and parents birthdays.  I think homemade birthday cakes are so special! The cost of ingredients is definitely getting high- I buy store-brand flour, sugar, cocoa, eggs etc to cut down on the cost. 

    Your granddaughter's highlights are so nice ! They look sunkissed and glam and really suit her! I've been thinking of getting blonde highlights since I was born blonde and then my hair darkened up when I hit my late teens.  Happy Birthday to your lovely granddaughter and let us know how the cake tastes!
