Awhile back I asked for hand cream or lotion recommendations. I got many choices and while I was checking them out I came upon Vaseline Clinical Care Dry Hands Rescue. Well along with a couple of other products I gave the Vaseline a try. I'm so glad I did, because while it is moisturizing, it is not greasy. It also lasts without making my hands feel oily. It just kind of disappears into your skin. Anyway you were all so generous with your suggestions, I thought I pass this rec. along . I purchased a set of two on Amazon for under $12.00.

I've noticed that the drugstore brands of hand creams are much better than most offered on QVC. Love Vaseline's CC! The more expensive brands that I love but rarely purchase now are the L'Occitane creams. Everything else I've tried just do not offer the moisture my dry hands need. I do like the Korres hand creams but find that I need to reapply often, even when I'm just out and about and haven't washed my hands. Thanks for the reminder on this miracle cream!

My favorite is Cerave. I use the heavier cream on my legs in the winter. Otherwise, I use lotion. Non-greasy. And it makes a difference in my skin.
The only thing I m not real fond of is Cerave face soap. I want a squeaky clean face since the T-zone is very oily. It doesn't work very well with that. But it's very nice on the body.

I've been a fan of Vaseline Intensive Care lotions for a long time. I've tried others, some were expensive, but I always go back to VIC. It absorbs better into my skin than anything else I've tried.

I've recently discovered the Burt's Bees Almond and Milk hand cream, It's rather thick and doesn't absorb quickly, but has a pleasant fragrance due to the honey.
I have sensitive skin and my dermatologist suggested Vanicream as a skin moisturizer. He was enthusiastic about what isn't in it: The label says that it has no "dyes, fragrance, masking fragrance, lanolin, parabens or formaldehyde"
Yikes, formaldehyde reminded me of day we had to dissect a fish in biology class. (I know, it's usually a frog, but the Sisters of St Joseph didn't approve of cruelty to frogs.)
Dissecting my long-deceased assigned fish was still depressing--it was steeped in formaldehyde, which made it almost impossible to see inside the poor little thing.

These are all great suggestions. My derm suggested I start moisturizing more aggressively due to some skin issues.
I started using a product for ezema and realized I hated the feel of it on my hands. So now when I apply moisturizer to my body, I wear disposable gloves.

If you have a Trader Joe's near you they have a hand cream called Ultra. It comes in unscented and seasonally scents like pumpkin, guava, rose, etc. It's like the very expensive French brand that starts with an O.

This product is what saves my hands, feet, and all over body.

One on that list of suggestions was a product called Cicaplast which is made in France. Very expensive for a small 1.69oz tube but excellent non-greasy softening.
The Alpha Skin product shown above is also very effective at a better price.
