National Peace Officers Memorial Day

A President’s Proclamation has been authorized and

requested to designate May 15 of each year as

“Peace Officers Memorial Day" and
the week in which it falls as "Police Week."

In memory of fallen Peace Officers
who have lost their lives in the line of duty,
lower all American flags to half-staffon 5/15 (Tues) only.

We will for sure fly our flag at half staff tomorrow!  Thank you for your reminder!  We love and are so thankful for our law enforcement officers!

Good point.

I do know the LivePD Twitter accounts follow have mentioned it,

but having a special announcement from Dan would’ve been 

extra special.

very proud of the state of maryland. we are the only state to have a fallen heroes day that celebrates the lives of our maryland first responders who have given their lives to keep us safe. we just had our 17th fallen heroes day ceremonies on may 4th.
