As a mark of respect for the memory of Reverend Billy Graham,
a President’s Proclamation has been ordered for
the flag of the United States shall be flown at half‑staff
on the day of Rev Graham’s interment, March 2, 2018 (F).

According to his daughter's web site, he will also be lying in the U.S Capitol Rotunda Feb. 28 and March 1.

Thanks for your addition.
My original post was just a half-staff flag notification.
I know many on these boards have flags outside of
their homes/businesses & like to know of flag lowerings.

That’s an amazing honor. Thanks for the information.

What happened to:
Separation of Church and State

@occasionalrain, just curious, why do you think this is a case of separation of church and state? No laws are being imposed, the government isn't denying our rights to worship in our own way (or making us worship the way they say), they are not bringing prayers into schools, etc. I just see it as a show of respect to a man beloved around the world.

By honoring a religious leader, it give the appearance of endorsing the religion he represents. Will they do the same for other religious leaders? It sets a bad precedent, causes unnecessary resentment.
The government has no business getting near anything, anyone affiliated with religion of any kind.

This is not setting precedent. It was flown half staff in 2005 when Pope John Paul II died. We see it differently I guess. To me it's a show of respect, similar to when it was flown half staff for Winston Churchill and Nelson Mandela (among other foreign leaders).

That it was done in the past doesn't make it acceptable. To honor Churchill was appropriate. The Pope and Mandela was not.
