Okay, so the violent neighbors left about a month ago, but I now have a couple of renters living a short distance from my house that have built a half-pipe skateboarding ramp in their backyard. You can't imagine how loud it is hearing those metal or rubber wheels on this wooden platform with whatever ramp coating overtop... comes complete with flood lights to continue the ruckus well into the night. I am in a city neighborhood in a major city where the houses are about 2 feet apart. Cops have been called, but the noisemakers just start up again later.
Does anyone know if this is legal? What about building permits to build such a thing? I will check this out also, but wonder if anyone has had any success in dealing with disruptive neighbors. I've been here for about 16 years; these people are young and disrespectful, so I need to be careful. What is the landlord's responsibility in all this?
Thank you! I'm off to bed with a headache, as I've just endured close to 3 hours of this circus atmosphere tonight.
