For those who use HSN coupons- check your orders carefully! Your initial order reflects the coupon discount - but something happens with the transfer of info where thepercent off doesn't get reflected when processed. I've had this happen 3 times in the last few months. I don't know if it's a problem with their app - the app working with .com - or some other technical issue with their ordering system.
The last thing I need is to get aggravated over 20% from a shopping channel! Today's rep was responsive; the other 2 times they insisted I never used the coupon code!!!

I had this happen to me a few months ago for the first time. The rep was extremely helpful and applied the discount. It was several days before I noticed it so she credited my account.

This also happened during HSN's last free shipping event. When I placed my order and applied the discount code the total was correct. However, when I submitted my order, I realized the total amount via the email confirmation was correct but the total on the website was not. Apparently, the discount on the website was not applied that the total was more. I just decided not spend time on the phone and canceled the order.

have not had these issues with the website. i do not use the app.
there is another coupon available now and will test it out later.

ITA with you about cancelling your order so your not on the phone dealing with it.
I'm doing the same with the new credit card from HSN since they went from Comenity Bank to Synchrony Bank. It has been nothing but a hassle for me to get it activated so I figured they can put it where the sun don't shine. LOL!!! I'm not wasting my time dealing with it. I was suppose to be able to login to my account to activate it on HSN but it says my username & password are not correct? Yes they are??? My phone number on my account is my home phone instead of my cell phone so they cannot send me a code by text so they sent me one by mail. When I called the number to use that code to get it activated I got disconnected. I thought enough of this BS.

i did not activate my new card via hsn, i activated my new card on the synchrony website. i had to create a new account on their site, but the hsn card number remained the same.

The transition to the new bank has been a nuisance imo! And there was little - to no- communcation that you needed to set up your account like you were a new customer. I found out by chance when I went to pay my bill on line.
Everyone's replies has me thinking- maybe the new bank posting the transaction is the source of the discount not transferring when my order processed? The bank changed a few months ago- and that's when I first noticed this problem.

I have had this happen to me several times. I caught it immediately so I cancelled it and reordered it and it still happened. I did a chat with CS and they said they haven't heard of this happening before. They put the credit in my K cash account but it happened with that too. It worked when I logged out and got back in.

@Nightowlz, I may be completely misunderstanding here but I have a ShopHQ card which is also through Synchrony.
Although I log in to my Synchrony account to pay my bill from the ShopHQ website, my username/password is different to get into my Synchrony account than to log into my ShopHQ account.
Are you trying to use the same username/password for both and you maybe you need to set up a different one for Synchrony?
