I have the white ones, and when I have pasta sauce to store, I dont use these lids, use an old Pyrex glass one, pasta sauce will stain the rubbery ones.

@On It - I've shared in some other threads that I've converted our kitchen to glass storage. Mostly it's assorted shapes and size of mason jars, but I also have multiple sets of the Anchor Hocking True Seal glass storage containers - both the flat rectangles and the assortment of rounds. I've gifted them also. I like them a lot, but be advised the lids can stain with certain sauces or juices.

I'm a big Costco fan, but I also have a BJs membership because they are very close to my house. I just checked both Costco and BJs for glass storage containers and BJs has a very good deal on their Anchor Hocking set of 30 pieces with snug fit lids.. It has a $5 off coupon bringing the price down to $24.99. I'm going to buy it. That's a Fabulous deal. Here is the info if anyone is interested.

Yes, I have used anchor Hocking for decades. Glass is safest, I threw out all plastic , safe plastic or not. Cleans well, doesn't stain, hard to break, multi purpose. I had this set once, but I only have the smallest one left. My daughters have borrowed them for left overs, lol. But I have other pieces without lids for small casseroles, etc. Amazon is a good source. I don't shop Walmart, so I can't speak for them

@On It wrote:Thank you everyone. Your responses have convinced me to go with the glass. I see there are a variety of sizes listed on HSN in addition to TS.
I decided to start using glass too. Walmart has a set of 3 small ones under 7.00 I purchased that set yesterday. Little by little I will stop the plastic.

QVC has a sale on A/H 1 cup little babies --I think there is 6 or 8 in the set--for under $20 that I bought before Xmas--I love them so much!! But I got them with the sage green lids which was very light and putting anything with tomatoe in it stains them because of the light color--wish I would have gotten a dark color lid. I will next time. But I do really like them--have a boatload of lock n lock that are fine but am not buying more----the tabs on the covers are starting to crack off---
