How do they do it? I returned an item via USPS yesterday morning. Dropped it off at the P. O.
Just now I received an email telling me they've received it and the refund will soon follow!

HSN's returns process is outstanding! Especially compared to using QVC's prepaid label - that's a whole different ballgame! And not in a good way...

I've never had a problem with QVC refunds.
I have one going back today and I'm using the prepaid label. I probably just jinxed myself. LOL

I don't have a problem with the actual refund once they receive my returned item, it's just how long it takes for it to get back to them once I drop it at the post office - I've had a package just sit at the post office from one Friday to the NEXT Friday before their so-called "shipping agent" picked it up and it actually got on its way back. That one took about 12 days just to get back to QVC. A package I dropped off at the same time for HSN was received by them and credited to my account before the other package even left the post office!
I don't buy much from QVC any more, for various reasons, but that's one of them.

I've been extremely lucky with my QVC returns - although I make very, very few so there's not a whole lot to go wrong.
I almost don't care when they process my returns (within reason). They're on my credit card and I've never once had a return be so late that the charge went into my next cycle. That means I never had to pay anything. That means no money for QVC either.
I never shop anywhere online with debit - that's the advice of all the best financial gurus. Not sure what I'd do if I had no credit cards, but I suspect I just would shop even less than I do now.

When making an exchange for an item with HSN, as soon as they are notified (via their return label) that the return is on the way back, another item is sent out.
QVC has to receive the package and then send another out. My items always take 14 days from date of order to receipt. Therefore an exchange would take more than a month.
Much better HSN's way.

Good point. With QVC, if I really want the same item again, different size, because it's defective, etc., I just go ahead and reorder it prior to sending the original one back. If it's changed price, I do call CS and they put it in at the same price as the original.

I recently took an HSN return to the post office and I noticed their label said First Class Return. The next day I received an email acknowledging my return was on its way and I believe a day or two later it was received. I've had QVC returns stay in the post office 2 weeks or more before they're on their way.

Last Saturday morning, I went online to Amazon and filled out a return request for something. Printed out the UPS label they emailed me, and took it to the UPS store around 1pm. THAT SAME NIGHT I received an email from Amazon that they have processed my return and I would be refunded in 2-3 days. I don't know how they do it, but I love Amazon.

My Post Office scanned my HSN return yesterday with a UPS tracking ID at 12:00 noon but currently UPS has no updates. I did receive an email from HSN that my return was being processed. i have never had to return to the Q but i can count on one hand my Q orders for this year, kept everything. i hate the shipping costs and taxes. lucky for me a ring i ordered fit me.
