@Pook wrote:Mine aren't exactly gorgeous but we are all different and I show my toes freely with no shame. I had hammer toe surgery on four toes on one foot and there are still (after over 20 years) scars running down the top and they don't bend - but they don't hurt so that's fine. My toes are long and at one time double jointed so that I could bend them back at the top joint. I could also pick up things with them and even write with my feet (don't know why or how I discovered it). I didn't have the usual type of hammer toes where they hump or overlap - they just got inflamed, swollen and I couldn't wear shoes at times or even walk normally. I keep the toes polished and they look ok but I would never shy away from sandals because of it. I see many women with nice feet who don't take care of them and that is far worse looking.
If you can walk on them, be grateful, polish 'em up & be proud. They've been through a lot. 😘

oh my gosh, my toes-feet are horrible.
I had to have many surgeries on my left foot on the 5th surg finally the problem was found a small bone no larger than a pea. Anyway, my left foot is very deformed. It is 1 shoe size smaller than my right foot. can no longer flex my left foot because bones are fused.
I wear socks all the time. I can still walk which is all I asked from the doctors I saw over the years.

@chihuahuamom wrote:shanus, you have no bunions! How did that happen???
Mmmm. No bunions, I have no idea. In the south we walk barefoot a lot....maybe March until September...except if we're going somewhere. I also wear a lot of flip flops...the thicker ones w/ arch support (Vionic), so I guess shoes don't get the chance to rub on my toes too much.

Well, you ladies inspired me. I just polished my toe nails and put on my ankle bracelet, so this old lady is rock'in it!

Like your feet. Not bad for 54 or any age. Like your chair, too.

Lovely! You have a very skilled (and meticulous) nail tech. I am a bit OCD about polish on skin and just the right length toenails. Yours are perfect.

Looks ain't everything. Your feet get you where you need to go, right? 💕
