@Moonchilde. Thank you for the best laugh!

I understand your frustration, but to be honest, you need to allow more time for a big item like a Traeger to be delivered. We ordered a Traeger about 5 years ago (not from QVC) and the shipping container is not only huge, it's extremely heavy....compare it to ordering a washer or dryer and having it shipped to you. All of the shipping companies are working a lot of hours to get normal-sized packages delivered on time - many of them by late shoppers who expect delivery in a day or two. They can usually do that, but something the size and weight of a Traeger is not a normal package, and it is definitely not a normal delivery. I no longer order huge items like that online - there's just less hastle buying something like that local.

It's a lot of places. I ordered something from Nordstrom on black fridayback in Novemeber. It didn't get shipped till December 8. I finally got it 10 days later.

@SUPERMADMOM wrote:If you had read my post it CLEARLY states I wasn't expecting it before Christmas was only hopeful, but when they posted on 12/22/15 that it had shipped I thought maybe it would get here Monday or Tuesday after the holiday. I got my hopes up, didn't buy other gifts and was LIED to by customer service!!
The problem is not anything that QVC did. The problem is that you got your hopes up.
I would never assume something that shipped on Dec. 22nd would get to me in any reasonable amount of time. That's the height of the Christmas rush. This is a time of year when mail and packages are typically delayed. Even items "guaranteed" for Christmas delivery don't always arrive in time for Christmas. And that's not QVC's fault either. Delivery is dependent on several factors including weather, carrier, etc, so they're totally off the hook if packages arrive late.
I think they should stop giving that ridiculous "guarantee" since it's meaningless. But - as you said - you weren't intially expecting it in time for Christmas. However, I do think you jumped the gun by hoping that it would arrive by the 24th, based on the dates you provided. It's fine to hope, but not to blame QVC for that. And I don't understand why you didn't buy any other gifts. You gambled, and you lost. You had to know there was a good chance that could happen.
I rarely defend QVC, btw. I prefer to spend my money elsewhere. But I do have to defend them on this one. There is nothing about this that is their fault. You hoped and you assumed, and that's 100% on you.

@KathyPet wrote:So maybe I can put a different perspective on this complaint. Tomorrow will be the first Christmas in 44 years I have not spent the day with my husband. He is at UVA Medical in Charlottesville being treated for brain cancer and I drove home to,spend time with my daughter, SIL and grand child. I could barely manage to walk out of his room this morning after he told me he loved me and I should enjoy my Christmas with our grandson. Makes a missing package appear rather insignificant IMHO.
KathyPet, thanks for that much-needed reality check. I am so sorry that you are experiencing something like this first-hand.
I agree with your husband - Enjoy your Christmas with your grandson. I know it will not be easy. My heart goes out to you, and I wish you & your family good health and happiness. It may not be the merriest of Christmases for you, but I hope you will find some joy..

@KYToby wrote:Not getting what you want is not the same as receiving horrible customer service.
Perhaps, just perhaps, if I had been a customer service rep receiving your call at this, the most hectic time of year, only to hear unrealistic demands, insults and called a robot multiple times, I would have hung up on you as well.
Next time you want a gift there in time, order it in time and allow for it to be delivered. Do not make assumptions and then get upset because your assumptions and unrealistic expectations are not met.
I agree. And I'd also like to add that if an angry customer has been hung up on 3 times by 3 different reps, then that customer was most likely really belligerent and out of line. CS reps have to put up with a lot, but they are trained to not put up with verbal abuse. Apparently 3 different reps had the same reaction to the OP

OMG, I had no idea what a Traeger was, and I just looked it up. You're right - It's extremely likely that it would take more time to be delivered. Most definitely not a normal delivery.
The unreasonable expectation just became (in my mind) super-unreasonable.

Hello, SUPERMADMOM and welcome. ![]()
Sorry that you're upset. On the bright side, you can just tell your husband that you got him something nice, but it's going to be a little late. I know you said the label for the item was printed early, but even if they managed to ship it right then and there, the weather probably would've slowed it down anyway.
(shrugs) It happens. Hope things go well for you.
