They promise delivery as a ploy to get you to shop one more time before the holiday. I fell for it one year quite a while back but never again.  I'm sure they don't care whether your gift arrives when promised as long as they get you to spend more $.

i love a little last minute shopping on Christmas Eve.  I take what I get and don't expect much, so it's fun.  Sorry this was such a disappointment. File it away for future reference - lesson learned. That's what I did and have avoided disappointments ever since.

She wasn't promised Christmas delivery.  She just assumed that a large grill ordered on December 18th would get to her by the 24th because she saw it had shipped on the 22nd.

That's a pretty big assumption, especially for a large item like a grill!  I hate QVC's Christmas guarantee because it's meaningless.  But it has nothing to do with the OP's situation.  It's about what she assumed and hoped for, not anything that was ever promised by QVC.

I usually request the deer when a thread has gone on so long and the same thing over and over and over, for me it's like a blank stare with a really? added in.

So maybe I can put a different perspective on this complaint.  Tomorrow will be the first Christmas in 44 years I have not spent the day with my husband.  He is at UVA Medical in Charlottesville being treated for brain cancer and I drove home to,spend time with my daughter, SIL and grand child.  I could barely manage to walk out of his room this morning after he told me he loved me and I should enjoy my Christmas with our grandson.  Makes a missing package appear rather insignificant IMHO.
