IF the plane was hijacked wouldn't passengers try to make calls or texts on their cellphones?

Theory 1: The phones were collected at the start of the flight, or before "they" took over the plane.

Theory 2: The plane flew to such a high altitude, (45,000 feet, I believe) that the air was so thin, that the passengers all died from lack of oxygen.

How long do cell phones hold a charge & how long do people survive without food & water. I remain with my original thought the plane was hijacked by the two with the stolen passports & crashed either into the sea or land.

Hmm, I wonder if this was known soon after the airplane was reported missing but kept hush-hush to protect the passengers?

I think it was more to save face....

The two men captured on the video looked very young, for me it's a stretch that they were able to keep over 200 people captive AND disable the airliners' transponder successfully.

I think the PILOT or Co-Pilot hijacked the plane...no way would two young guys have been able to do it and have no response from anyone on the plane (texts, phone calls, etc.).

I would like to know WHY they did not check the pilot and co-pilots homes when this first happened....why are they just looking NOW....

Some programs that I saw last night mentioned the pilots can turn the oxygen off and the passengers just go to sleep permanently.

Agreed. Now that we know the plane turned around, I'm speculating that a very slow change in direction may have not been noticed by the passengers.......
