@Enufstuff - I had a long day and I'm not in a great mood right now. I'm tired of all of the rules and regulations when you're just trying to help people who need help. Anyway. . .
I was ready to post it doesn't feel much like spring here - about 50 degrees and windy.
Then I saw your beautiful Toni. She can put a smile on anyone's face! I love her pretty dress with the mini print and the lace. It looks great with her hair and her eyes stand out. She will be one of the prettiest girls in church Easter Sunday!
Thank you for sharing her picture with us - you really cheered me up! ![]()

You're incredibly talented. I can't imagine the skill it takes to create such beautiful dresses. It's no wonder they sold too. I'm so glad you took pictures of them though. I just can't get over the fact that you made them. So beautiful!!!💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝

@beach-mom Thank you very much. I am so glad that Toni in her spring dress, lifted your sprits and brightened your day.
I have always loved spring, having a May birthday.
Easter was always special. Shopping for a new outfit, shoes, pocketbook, hat and gloves. Everything new to wear to church on Easter Sunday.
Of course we loved coloring the Easter eggs and getting our baskets of beautiful candies.
I loved doing all those things for my children too, especially dressing my three little girls in dresses that I made and all the accessories to complete their outfits.
To me Spring is the happiest season, so full of hope and new life.

Sorry to have to ask, but is Toni a commercial product like Barbie? Never heard of her before.

@cheriere Thank you, you are very kind.
Back in the stone age, when I was in Junior High, all girls learned to sew. I was 11 in 7th grade and made my first skirt.
When I was high school age, I started making clothes for myself at home and didn't have any patterns. I made two simple dresses and a boatneck sleeveless top. That was in the 60's.
It was just natural to make dresses for my three daughters. They were so close in age, many times I dressed them alike,
when they were little.
In later years, I made dance costumes for my daughters and myself.

@Tinkrbl44 Toni was made quite a while before Barbie.
She was the "It" doll of the 50s. She was created in 1949, when the Ideal Doll Company collaborated with Gillette who made Toni home permanents, and Dupont who made the nylon fibers for the wigs.
There were lots of baby dolls, but Toni was the first little girl doll that had fashionable clothes and hair that could be shampooed and "permed". The famous designer, Oleg Cassini was one of the designers who designed dresses for Toni.
She was the biggest selling doll in the 50's. She was promoted
in magazines, in department stores and even by celebrities.
Every little girl wanted one. I was six years old when I got two
for Christmas.
People who had these dolls as children have become collectors.
My daughter and I were collecting them about 15 years ago and that was when I sewed the dresses and sold them online to other collectors.
You can Google or look on Pinterest and get information on these dolls. People are still selling them and dresses on ebay and Etsy.
