I can't stand Gwyneth and find her to be pretentious and generally overrated, but I think people are overreacting to this comment.

What she said didn't even make sense to me. It's like she's trying to use big words and complex analogies, but she just comes across sounding snotty and out of touch.

What's that saying? 'It's better to keep your mouth closed and thought a fool than to open it and be proven one'. It is something like that.

I wrote her off long ago when she named her daughter Apple. I guess all she has going for her is a pretty face, period.

Yes, wasn't she the one who stated that she did not want her child to be born in the US? At that point, I decided she also must not want that child supported with my American dollars, so I have not since gone to one of her movies. (And, frankly, there is no great loss there.)
