here is what i do if a gift doesnt arrive in time...... and yes, i am still shopping for gifts.

i print a photo of the item due to arrive. i put it in a box and wrap it up with a note that it is on its way. the recipient has something to open AND something to look forward to AFTER christmas.

Re: Guaranteed Delivery

[ Edited ]

I know that quaranteed delivery just is selling hype. I ordered two jewelry items the morning of Dec. 19 that were quaranteed to be delivered by Christmas. As I am alone for the holidays, I ordered two gifts for me. I just checked. Neither item has shipped. One is listed for delivery on Dec. 29. The other, for delivery on Dec. 24.

Given that I almost never get coupon codes and will not get my one quaranteed gift until after Christmas, I figure that I must have been very bad this year.

UPDATE:  Just checked this a.m. to discover that both gifts "from me to me" now are due to arrive on Dec. 24.  Santa must have rechecked that list. lol

Just got off chat with cs and giving me a $5 credit...$45 order that will not arrive until 12/29. I even ordered two days before the cut-off date. Not satisfied, done with QVC.

I ordered three things before the Saturday noon cutoff. They are for me so I didn't care if they got here in time for Christmas or not, but it would have been nice.

Got one yesterday.

As for the other two, I have one thing supposed to be out for delivery today and the third thing won't be here until Friday.

I got a notice this morning that #3 would be late with an apology and an offer to talk to customer service. I would never ruin someone's Christmas to talk to them about something they can do nothing about.

Although, QVC could have thrown in a one time free ship code. I wouldn't have been mad at that, but I guess that would be too ironic... Smiley LOL
