If I remember correctly, this "guarantee was offered in the past and some didn't get their packages in time. We're they compensated in some way? What happens if your order doesn't reach you before Christmas?

It happened to me, there was no compensation, just an apology after I called CS.

@coffee drinker I had 2 orders that weren't even close to arriving on time. I got no compensation.

@coffee drinker. Since they have no control over the delivery, it's a stupid claim to make. Nobody gets compensated. You get a, "gee, that's too bad".

They would be better off stating that everything will be shipped by their warehouse by a certain date...not when it's going to arrive, unless they are offering expedited shipping for an additional cost.
I never understood why during this time, QVC doesn't offer an option when ordering "ship now...or not needed by Christmas and save a couple of dollars and ship after the 22nd". Then just route the orders based on whether the customer wants it shipped right away or can wait until other customers orders are shipped.
I ordered some Elemis a few days ago, and am in no hurry and could easily wait until after the holidays to receive my order - especially if given an option of saving a few dollars.

@coffee drinker Given the weather in many parts of the country, I wouldn't order anything from any where more than a few miles from home.
I'm not accusing you @coffee drinker, but it seems to me that day after day posters claim most of what he hosts say they pay no attention to. I hear them, but I've lived and shopped too long to expect perfect delivery at holiday time especially when many have encountered delays routinely.
I have been lucky. Every product I've ordered for at least the last 6 years arrived by the time it was promised, I don't even remember having to return anything at during those same years,
My wish: that the people I know and care about live well and safely through this holiday season.

What good is a "guarantee" if they don't back it up?

who is still shopping for gifts?

It happens every Xmas. After being burned a couple times I never order anything from the Q after the first week in December. More than likely after the first. You just can't rely on it arriving.

Once the Q ships the package it is out of their hands and becomes the deliverer's schedule to see it arrives on time. The Q then has no control over packages at that point and should not be making that claim.
My Amazon order is taking three weeks plus for delivery and I ordered it on December 6. No on time Christmas delivery from them.
