Does your grocery store offer a discount for seniors ?  My local Tops market offers 6% of your total the first Tuesday of the month. There are usually other good discounts that  coincide with  the % off, so I try to make bigger purchases on that day. Every little bit helps. You get a different bonus card, so you don't have to jump through any hoops to get the discount.

No.  I haven't heard of grocery stores doing that.  It's a nice little perk.

Yes.  Our Pick 'n Save gives seniors a 5% discount every Wednesday.  60 & older.

Everyone can get a "store discount card" at my store.   The items discounted change regularly.  Their regular prices are good compared to others especially on their brand items of which they have many.  We don't have a Kroger's .

The grocery nearest to me has a 10% discount for seniors and military ID on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Double coupons for all on Wednesdays.

5% senior discount on Tuesday's at Super Foodtown and 5% discount on Wednesday's at Shoprite.  I do my biggest orders at Shoprite so I do try to get there once a month on a Wednesday - the only problem is the place is loaded with old people - LOL!

I forgot about our store discount card that everybody can use.  Lots of good deals.  I usually avoid Wednesday as it is too busy for me.

I get a 5% discount on Wednesdays at one of our local neighborhood markets. That's the day I get our meats....lucky since it has the best cuts of meats in town here Smiley Happy
