Supplies are becoming scarcer.
Fruits and vegetables are scarce and so are can items as well as boxed items.
Sometimes there is no bread.
The meat products are fewer and very expensive.
There are 3 major grocery chains in my area and the supplies vary between them.
The situation is becoming worse and the $$ higher.
Going to the grocery store and drug store is $$$. It is very difficult.

I would not say all store shelves are empty. But here in Illinois, we have severe shortages and many bare shelves. EVERY single grocery store is the same - Target, Walmart, Meijer, Jewel-Osco, Marianos (Kroger).
So you are lucky that wherever you are, the stores are well stocked. They are NOT here.

In other places that do take you in your out in 30 minutes.
You like to argue, I don't. I state my piece and leave it alone I've been
banned more then once. Your welcome to keep going.
Being in the Chicago area, we see it on the news every day. It's open season for shoplifting.

Store employees are sometimes the last to know their store is closing and they will be without a job.
I am tired of store managers throwing up their hands and blaming " supply chain issues" for every problem involving empty shelves....sometimes there are boxes and boxes in the stockroom, but they have no one to stock the shelves with it. That's when a manager should roll up their sleeves and begin stocking the shelves themselves....but I am old-fashioned, I suppose.

That's not the same as saying "the nationwide grocery stores are all bare", that's exactly what that poster said. That is inaccurate hyperbole-nationwide, all
Don't get what people don't understand about that statement being inaccurate hyperbole.

@Greeneyedlady21 Yes we all get it. We just do not see any reason to keep bashing the poor poster over it.
Your point was made pages ago.
Let it go already.

???
I don't know where you live, but I live in Chicago and have been in stores from the north shore to the southwest suburbs and the shelves are full. Maybe there's some particular items you can't find, but there is usually an alternative available.

The shelves are t bare in the stores where I shop...but the items I want still are not there many times. Yesterday, Costco was out of bottled water. Kroger had no Heinz Ketchup and not bell peppers. Random outages. I have just learned to adjust, but produce being out of stock is hard to fix..if I need fresh tomatoes or oranges for salads....we just have different salads.

Several news stories this week alone say that there are going to be major food shortages worldwide very soon.
Check out NPR and CNBC sites among many others.
'Crippling' was the word used.

@chiclets - wow. In my area, while there are spotty shortages and outages, the store I shop in is always loaded with breads and produce. It's just weird what shortages are where.
