Re: 🤣 Grocery Delivery 😂

I had to laugh because spouse rarely goes to food store but wanted to buy lottery tickets for 🎄.

He said to me "is that lettuce?" I said "what do you think it is🙄!" He then says loudly" It's the size of a grapefruit but it's $3.49 ... it can stay here at that price!"

Our produce in our Publix is horrible and certainly overpriced.

He was telling me all the prices🤦‍♀️of things -- it's been years since he's been shopping.  He finally said "no wonder our food bill is high look at these prices!" I just laughed and kept on going...

(for sure next time he's staying home it was like taking a 5 year old but no candy bar at checkout🤣)

Re: 🤣 Grocery Delivery 😂

I used to think I wouldn't want anyone else picking out my produce and meat.  I do curbside pick up at my market and would not go back to doing my own shopping every week.

I live in the midwest so nothing is in season locally now.  I've found that precut produce has been much better quality and more cost effective than whole product right now.  For example, rather than select a head of cauliflower, I would probably just get the bag of florets.

I use Shipt to deliver from Publix and usually have the same shopper.  She shops as good as I do!  Anything she has a question about, she texts and often sends a picture of what is available.

I trust her to select my produce.  Never been disappointed!

I would not have any fresh produce, meat or fruits picked out for me.  I have to see these items for myself.

My daughter and son-in-law use the shop from home service quite a bit and they have never gotten bad or less than perfect meat or produce.

They prefer the store service over instacart.

With an 8 month old baby it's been a godsend for them.

I had a friend who used grocery delivery. She said that a lot of her items were always close to the expiration date.
I can see that happening. Those in store shoppers are always in a rush.

That's so funny. I'm thrilled with grocery deliveries, especially on winter. I'm generally happy with what the shoppers select but occasionally they are off the mark. Even more than grocery delivery, I'm thankful for pharmacy delivery.

I did that once. .lol. I rushed through my order and didn't see that I had the option of buying a single banana or a single bunch of 5-7 bananas.

I have passed up lots of produce lately because it just wasn't worth buying....so I can't imagine what the produce looks like when a teen-aged male shopper picks it out. Today, a shopper filling up order baskets reached over me and picked up two very small pkgs of blackberries...he looked at the label to see what they were, and put them in one basket. I wonder if the customer knows the 3 oz pkg is 9.98.

When I order, the price and pack size are both listed.
