Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful for the opportunity to have groceries delivered when I just don' t feel like going out. However, I had a good laugh when I unpacked my order and found a cauliflower the size of a med. orange. I have honestly never seen one that small. I guess it's time to go back to the store. 😹

@QVCkitty1 That may be the best cauliflower they had to offer. The area in California where cauliflower is grown suffered a severe drought. The crops did not produce just as our cotton crops failed in West Texas.

I do all my grocery shopping online/delivery anyway, but especially these past months due to breaking my ankle AND... living on the 2nd floor apartment---not walking yet. but have to laugh at some of the items I get. Think it is more so from my shoppers being male and not really understanding the art of shopping and it is truly an art!! Once I wanted 5 SMALL red beets but got 5lbs of beets--do you know how much 5 lbs of beets is? I still laugh at that. I am very specific with my instructions now. but am very grateful for this service. but I can chat with my shopper too, so that helps alot.

@On It , I figured that was the case, I would have just left it there, but they had no way of knowing that.

While I'm glad many grocery stores offer delivery, I can't do it. I have to SEE and feel my items I purchase. I often change my mind on what to buy depending on the availability and pricing. If I saw that cauliflower in the store I would change my mind to maybe broccoli. This applies mostly to produce but sometimes I will see a fantastic deal on an item and it changes my entire meal plans. I just feel I receive better produce and save money by shopping in person. But like I said, if you cannot personally go shopping it's great there is the delivery option.

I would not have any fresh produce, meat or fruits picked out for me. I have to see these items for myself.

I might eventually convince my mother to online-shop for groceries, but I think she'll always insist on shopping in-person for produce.

I just read about how many of you want to be able to pick out your own produce and meats---and I do too, but if, for some reason, any of that stuff is not to your standards, you can and do get reimbursed. Just have to call CS . I have done that many times with NO problems. but luckily, my items have been in good shape. Thats where the chat with your shopper helps -- you say yes or no to their selection for a different item and you can explain what you want. I do tip more for them chatting with me and I get very good service.

@cjm61 I'm with you. I couldn't stand to have someone else picking out my "stuff". I too often change my mind about something.
Plus, I enjoy stolling through Safeway and shopping. I know so many of the staff and it's fun to chat for a minute when I see one of them.

@cjm61 I agree. I need to thump my own melons. LOL
