I'm not really sure what this is...but I've gotten at least three emails from etailers about it.  It's tomorrow...I assume it's just another shopping day with a title to make us think we have to buy, buy, buy!

Green Monday is an online retail industry term similar to Cyber Monday. The term was coined[1] by eBay to describe its best sales day in December,[2][3] usually the second Monday of December.

Green Monday is defined more specifically by business research organization comScore as the last Monday with at least 10 days prior to Christmas.

In 2009, $854 million was spent online in the US on Green Monday,[4] with sales in 2011 reaching $1.133 billion.[5] In 2012, Green Monday topped out at $1.27 billion, up 13% from 2011 and the third heaviest online sales day for the season behind Cyber Monday and Dec. 4, 2012 (which had no marketing tie-in), according to comScore.[6]

In 2014, Green Monday online sales grossed a record $1.6 billion, albeit still lower than Cyber Monday's $2.68 billion during the same year.[citation needed]

Well, between Cyber Monday and doing local shopping all of last week...I'm done with my Christmas shopping.

I won't be doing any Green Monday shopping!

No matter what you call it, it is the same sales they have all around the holidays. I hate all these name they are calling shopping days now. It gets ridiculous.

Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Super Saturday, Green Monday, blah blah blah.

Add to that...almost every day, I get a flyer in the mail or an email from Macy's about another One Day Sale, Super Saturday Sale, or some other sale.

These sales are all the same....

oh Yeah Macy's has gotten really bad about that! I remember when a Super Saturday Sale at Macys was really something and far and few between. These days, I swear they have one EVERY Saturday now. I love Macys though- I get some really excellent deals there.
