This story was in the Chicago Tribune, either last Friday or Saturday. A 14 year old girl was coming home from school when she was grabbed by a guy and pulled to the ground near her house. A neighbor heard her screams and went to help but not before calling for his 160 lb. Great Dane, Scooby. They chased the criminal (two other guys joined in the chase) and Scooby trapped the guy in an alley until the police came. Scooby was growling and barking at the bad guy but did not bite him and did not hurt him. The guy was of course afraid to move and the police were able to capture this guy. Neighbors say Scooby is the sweetest dog around but he sure knew when to show his other side.
