Members of my high school class from over 60 years ago stay connected through an occasional group email from one fellow with a gift for taking in the simple things of our lives and looking at them through a glass prism to see their meaning.

In a recent one, he sent his cardiologist an 80th birthday celebratory photo of his family. To the sender it was a thank you; however, to the recipient his patient's gratitude changed how he viewed his medical career choice which over time had become tarnished. The doctor was going to share this picture with his team the following Monday.

Suggestion: It is good to acknowledge what you are grateful for. It is even better to share that gratitude with those who have touched your life. You may never know the far-ranging impact of a few heartfelt words !

On this day in particular, I'm especially grateful that I don't live further up the Florida peninsula than I do. Am also happy and relieved that all of my family and friends that do live up there remained virtually unscathed. Prayers go out to those who weren't that lucky.

Amen! I wake up with an attitude of gratitude EVERY morning that I am blessed to see another day! It costs NOTHING, but the rewards are priceless!💝 Anyone with medical issues is keenly aware they can overwhelm us and weigh us down, but it is steadfast GRATITUDE that lifts us up!🥰
