Just announced the 2024 nominations.  Never heard of 90% of them.  I haven't watched the grammys in years.  No interest in that sort of "music" that's out there now.

I'm with you.  I know half of the country singers and Taylor Swift.  I've heard some of the other names but I haven't listened to any of their 'music".  I don't listen to anything when they scream and yell.

Re: Grammys 2024

[ Edited ]

Hey @Mz iMac,

Thanks so much for posting these songs. I listened to Billie

Eilish song What was I made for and it is hauntingly sad. her voice is beautiful. The video very touching.  I didn't like her earlier songs but I wouldn't be surprised if she won.Made me cry.

Her other song-Never Felt So Alone makes me hope she is ok. Both songs reflecting someone who is having a very hard time.

Lana Del Rey has a beautiful soulful voice but I have a hard time understanding her words she kinda slurs them all together.

Even Dolly's song was sad.

I always appreciate when artists depict many different emotions showing us all that we have many different ones from different times in our lives but wow. Some of these are very despairing.

We ( or at least I will) are going to need cheering up after all these!

best rock album, best performance :  Foo fighters!

@on the bay I'll have to check Billie's new song(s).  I've not been a fan of hers at all, but I will give her new music a listen and see what I think.

I'm familiar with maybe 90% of them as I love music and listen to all kind, both old and new (except for country).  But my life memories are tied to the tunes of the 60s and 70s.  I am excited to watch.

Jon Batiste is amazing.
I’m also a fan of Miley Cyrus.
Jelly Roll is fantastic! Don’t be fooled by his unexpected appearance as a country singer.

I agree.  I love Jelly Roll and his music.  Would love to see him win another award.

I'm so tired of Taylor Swift always winning.

I really like Miley's song, Flowers.  I also like Billie Eilish, What was I made for and Olivia Rodrigo, Vampire.

Flowers is a great song.
