Got some Centerville Chicken Pies - and a STORY !

These are the pies Oprah got into the Harry & David's catalog. They're local here.

So I went up and got two pies. Asked how the H&D catalog worked out. Well! It seems they sold many thousands of chicken pies out of the holiday catalog. AND THEN Harry & David went Chpt. 11. It took a long time to get their money, but they finally did.

So, now the pies are on HSN! I guess they were on last week and sold out and will be on again in a week or two.

Too bad they went through all that, but it's all good now. The story behind them is: When Oprah was here for a Kennedy funeral they gave her a pie. It became a 'favorite thing' and before she went off the air she had them on and announced she had gotten them into the H&D catalog.

Disabled adults reap many benefits from this little pie company. They did before they were famous and still do. Many work for the company. Pressing the pie crust is one job for many and preparing chicken is another. Shame on H&D for trying to not pay!! Consensus is the pies kept them in business through the holidays.

This company is only 3 years old, one of the few that is doing really well, AND paying it forward.
