I feel your pain!   I was sitting at my desk when  a  strange man came through the front door.   He then approached and handed me a "dear Employee letter."  As of midnight your insurance lapses and we thank you for your years of service.  Had I not been seated I would have fallen in the floor.  The company closed its doors that day and my 15 years of service was much appreciated I am sure.......Good luck to you
