@VegasBusinessWoman

You have to stay safe and practice social distancing.

I am volunteering as a tutor online and have a flock of students that  I help with assignments online. There is no face to face.

Some people that can are donating blood which is getting low.

You help could be calling seniors to talk with them for 5 minutes to let them know that they are not alone when they are isolated.

If you clean out your closets check for old sheets and towels that can be donated to an animal rescue in your area.

I know there are a lot of people out there with more ideas than I have. Feel free to post suggestions.

Re: Got Me thinking

[ Edited ]

@doxie1, what a wonderful topic and such positive information!

We have several universities in my state that have nursing programs.  Most nursing programs have a beginning level course at some point such as a "Fundamentals" course.  So many have skills labs that have isolation gowns, masks, and gloves.  The students have to learn the correct way to don the personal protective equipment.  And perhaps more importantly, the correct way to "doff" the PPE.

Well no one is doing those skills labs in the state so they gathered those supplies and took them to their local hospitals.  Granted, not a lot of any one thing....but at this point every little bit helps!

I also heard about I think an app called shopping angels.  Younger individuals will do the grocery shopping and delivery of groceries for those that are at high risk.  The service is free.

Lots of really great things going on out there.  Heart
