Farewell MAD.  You influenced generations.   Spy vs Spy was a fave but I Always looked forward to the fold up inside back cover.  I remember one issue had a "Pleasent Valley Sunday"  feel, with lawn mowers and charcoal grills and water hoses and spraying flowers. things like that.  when you folded the page you saw toxic waste canisters and creatures with XX eyes and the caption read " Let Us (S)pray.  the S was crossed out.  A little back door eco-crusading under the cover of MAD- Cool.  Love it. will miss. it.

I have great memories of anxiously awaiting the new issue of that crazy magazine.

Don Martin was a favorite cartoonist from that time.  Not sure if he is still around, but his stuff was really funny to me then!

By the way, I agree, Alfred and Howdy are twins separated at birth!

@Anonymous032819   That's a leading question (yes?).   I would say no.  It will be discontinued but "be around" like old issues in your attic are "still around."  With no new issues coming out, I don't think it will still be around.
