That does seem to be stretching it but to defend the hosts, the pressed eyes shadows on the Tarte website are .06oz and the ones in the TSV are .07 so they are all full sized shadows.

But still, I would count the palettes as 2 items.

...and the individual eye shadows are sold for $17 each on the tarte website....

i am not buying this set, but it is a very good deal, a great way to gift makeup items, and a nice quality line.

I don't know why they try to make something sound better than it is especially when the 12 items are a good value without stretching them into 26. Next they'll be adding the dust bag to handbags to make it a two item purchase for one great price.

I would like this TSV if the items were in actual separate kits...that you could use as gifts. Simply giving someone a box of mascara seems odd to me. I'm passing on this set.

Yes, Ford, they think we're all nitwits.

I don't really understand the Holiday Eye Shadow Pallet thing that it seems ALL cosmetic companies come out with EVERY holiday season.

I don't know anyone who uses all of the colors, and it's not like you can give a couple of them away as they are stuck in the pallet.

One pallet equals One item.

I wouldn't buy it anyway. Tarte eye makeup make my eyes burn. The lip gloss is pretty, but not worth $60!

Pat has it spot on. They advertise it as 'breaking up the set to give as gifts'. It's not like I can gouge out each eyeshadow....one palette, one item.

It's like a tube of mascara is considered 2 items...the tube for $20 w/ a free wand. Smiley Tongue

12 or 26 -- just too much "stuff". No one needs that many eyeshadows. Just adds to the clutter I always end up throwing away.

I have to agree, too much stuff!

I happened to be channel hopping the other night when they were showing Lori Grenier's giant make-up organizer. I forget who the host was (may Jill B) who was saying that it would be great to have this product to organize your make-up as it holds 120 pieces, and while you're organizing you can downsize and declutter! I'm thinking keeping 120 make-up items is hardly downsizing!

If this starts, we'll know they read the boards! {#emotions_dlg.laugh}
