Hello, GloriaJean and all: Have a day filled with many smiles and laughter, our best medicine!

Hi everyone! So nice to see so many here today! The sun is out - hoping for a nice, sunny fall day. I should get motivated to get a lot done today - the Sun helps!! We're making wine - blueberry and apple - some of our apples but hope it works. The pipe where it should bubble has such tiny bubbles, can hardly see them. It's out first attempt and maybe we'll have to throw this batch out and start anew - we'll see.

Gloriajean, hope you wine turns out good. I remember my mother used to make dandelion wine when I was a child. How could I forget since I was the official dandelion picker LOL.
All kidding aside, thanks for starting this nice thread and I hope you have fun with your wine making!

Do you think this thread should continue daily? Just wondering if it will get old.
I had some dandelion wine once - it was good. This wine is from a wine making kit we received for our 50th Wedding Anniversary from my husband's brother and wife who do a lot of wine making. But then, they have a hobby farm and their own chokecherries etc. and don't have to buy them. We bought a 96 oz. can of blueberries to make the wine with our apples. Sure hope it works.

It's my granddaughter's 16th birthday today. She is such a wonderful young woman. We will be celebrating together at dinner tonight. Can't wait!

Hello to all the Humpers!
(wonder if this will pass you know who) beautiful Fall day here, and I'm not even out, but everyone else seems really busy, have a good one.
gloriajean, my mom, long since passed, was also from Minnesota, and in her recipe box, she had one for dandelion wine. Don't know if she ever made it but it always sounded interesting. My cousin in Washington and her hubby just bottled their wine, a pear mix, and an apple mix. First time for them too.Good luck!
