So very very true-even my md told me this. The 50 and over group need to take note of this and stop all the silliness.

I am 79 and don't fall for scams because I was raised that way.  I have a friend who is 3 years older than me and  she really got scamed.  So I would say it's just how your parents taught you.  My son would never fall for a scam because he is cautious.

I read a story the other day a 74 yr old retired attorney was scammed out of $740,000? I thought how did that happen?

He thought he was working with the FBI to catch the scammers. He took money out of his account, retirement accounts etc which he now owns tax on.

There is no way I would withdrawal money from my account for someone else to use in a scam???

I don't understand why he thought the FBI would be involving him in such a manner or using his money?

It’s possible he might have had dementia.
