Just returned from a lovely ride. I am a home body but just going nuts.....feel refreshed. Did not come in contact with anyone.

Re: Going for a ride?

[ Edited ]

Here it is go to work, grocery store, pharmacy - then home. Much as I would like to, I'm not paying those fines. Only essential outings - don't think a car ride counts.

Someone from NY came here and was out walking with his mask on and some neighbors ratted him out for not doing the mandatory 14 day quarantine - they arrested him.

Absolutely!  We take our dog and just drive around for about 1/2 hour.  Come back feeling like we had a little outing and give the kitty back his house for awhile.

To and from work has become like a trip to the Wild, Wild West in my area.

The few people that are on the roads by me are driving like the insane.

Be careful.

What is the negative of people driving in a car
Maybe people would not “isolate” and group together in a car. I know we did that as teenagers 😎

I have been out for a drive a couple of times, but may reconsider in future.

I have family in the UK who are being told not to drive except for essential purposes. The reason for this is that they do not want any extra strain on the health-care system if an accident were to occur. They may not have adequate emergency vehicles and hospital space to treat the injured at this time.

That thought has crossed my mind, too, or that the car would break down for some reason.  Traffic though has been extremely light when we venture out.

That is true for my area, too. Very light traffic, except near the grocery stores.

As long as recreational driving does not become too popular, it feels fairly safe at this time.

Highlands72: doesn't make sense. There are ZERO cars on the road & I live a major large US city. No CARS.
