@haddon9   I think I am familiar w/that part of Pennsy.  Is that Bucks County?  or thereabouts?  Some covered bridges in NJ as well - such a beautiful part of the State.  People don't realize.

Sounds like a nice thing to do for an afternoon.  Woman Happy

Re: Going for a ride?

[ Edited ]

this is just my opinion.  dh and i often go out for drives.  i for the life of me (no pun intended) can't imagine stopping for a coffee, ice cream cone, or anything else handled by someone not trained in how contamination is spread.

sure i get wiping off the cup, but how aware/educated is the worker who prepared it?  i see all kinds of people in the fast food drive thru's. passing back and forth their ATM card, or (ugh) cash. after these workers have handled countless cards ect. you can't see them preparing the food, and have no idea what anyone is doing.

big fat NO THANKS.

we will continue to pack all drinks, and snacks in a small cooler before going on a drive.  At least i know how it was handled.

Every few days we take a short drive.  The cactii are blooming and I enjoy that immensely.

I like to take car rides, too.  I do it all year long, sometimes I stop someplace and sometimes I don't.  I like to listen to my ebook while I drive.

Riding in my new-ish suba (ru) is a delight. I make a gas run after my driving - which is a happy thing in itself. $1.67/gallon! I bring along Pandora and audio novels. Also riding by and waving at friends and family. I'm in an area that allows neighborhood walks and drives. Although I'm in a 2 mil metro population area, we're surrounded by lovely countrysides. Safe driving to all.

DH and I are trying to go for walks around the neighborhood to get some fresh air and to just move around....the weather has been very cool and lots of rain so that has kept us inside but the few days it has warmed up and dry we like to walk in the early evenings; we take a drive sometimes but we are not on lockdown here. It is nice to sit outside on our patio at night and hear total quiet. I just go for grocery pickup and that's about it. I am trying to figure out where to get some flowers without being in contact with too many people.I am itching to get outside and start filling some planters.

I really enjoyed being in the grocery store yesterday!

Can't believe that since I spent half of my career in one, shopping for all my Adv Nutrition classes since I couldn't teach design all day.  Think I'm losing it........Smiley Happy

@ECBG @trips to the grocery store haven been a nightmare. I have to wait on line to get in, they don’t have half of what I want, you must follow the yellow lines and circles, long lines at the checkout, people are starting to lose their tempers. It’s getting to the point where I don’t even want to go.

@Jordan2 Just a thought.  Even though it may be a few more minutes, is there a store in a smaller community where you could shop, assuming you're in a larger community?

I do my big shopping at King Kullen, There is also a Foodtown near me and a Key Food within walking distance. I swear, it doesn't matter which store I go to or when, the shelves are bare.

Rain or shine, I drive around at least once a week to keep my battery fully charged.
